Hi Everyone - it's been a while since our last post - sorry...

We have had a fabulous couple of weeks in store - HEAPS of new stock has come in, and is still coming. You will have to come in and see - far too much to list here.

So what's happening this week?

Saturday 28th February

Not only do we have an all day crop from 10am – 10pm we also have TWIDDLEYBITZ (www.twiddleybitz.com) coming in to demonstrate how to use their products. We will have 25% off all TWIDDLEYBITZ items whilst Nic is here. In addition to this if you spend over $20.00 (after discount) you will receive an additional free gift from Twiddleybitz. We are also offering a SUPER SPECIAL on all Twiddleybitz acrylic albums at 40% off with an additional Twiddleybitz free gift to all acrylic purchases. Come and watch Nic show how to cover chipboard, use alcohol inks on acrylic and mirror products, use of colour sprays on chipboard along with Dimensional magic, kindy glitz etc. Demo is scheduled for 11am – 12pm.

As we mentioned above we have an ALL DAY CROP on this Saturday. We are offering a special deal on that day – if you complete 4 layouts or more to donate towards the GIVE THE GIFT OF MEMORIES PROJECT you can crop for FREE. We are asking all of our clients to assist us in the Give the Gift of Memories project. All that you need to do is contribute a 12x12 almost completed page layout or album to help give the gift of Memories to the Victorian Bush Fire Victims. Please make layouts so all the families need to do is place a photo onto the page to forever hold their memories in their hearts each time they open their very own album. Some people are grouping together with another participants to donate an album (works out to approximately $5 each if there are 4 of you and then fill it with layouts). If you feel that you would like to do this with a group of friends – that would be fantastic or would like to join a group doing this – please email us or phone us and we will do our best to put you in contact with others. Ring the store to book your place as it’s filling fast.

Please have a read - lets help those inthe Vic. bush fires

I will simply copy and paste from my blog.....

please let help those affected in the Victorian bush fires....

Hi Everyone

At Scrapbooking to Di for we have been trying to come to terms with the recent devastating bushfires in Victoria. So how can we help??
Sarah Gladman (a well published scrapper) has started a scrapbooking project – called MEMORY GIFTS.
What she is asking is for scrappers to donate a 12 x 12 almost completed page to be made into an album (do the page and leave photo mats for each family to add their photos).

Scrapbooking to Di for is the drop-off point for Perth – we will coordinate the posting of all layouts to Sarah in NSW. I have attached the information from Sarah’s Blog below for you to read further about this wonderful programme. Since the first call for help she has been inundated with offers of assistance from both scrappers, and businesses. Therefore what she is aiming to do is create an album (with your help) for each and every family who have lost their home.
Layouts can be dropped off in store up to the close of business Friday March 13 so that we can post them on the Saturday to ensure their safe arrival at their destination.
We would appreciate if you could pass on this email to as many scrapping friends and family as you can – let’s work together to give the gift of Memories to those families in need. Even one page will make a difference.

Ring us or email us if you have any questions regarding the programme.

As scrappers, one of the most important things we deal with on a daily basis are memories. Family memories, memories of loved ones, memories of holidays, birthdays, christenings, bbq’s and days at the beach. These families in Victoria have got no tangible evidence of their lives left. No family photos. No happy snaps. You can replace a fridge, but you can’t replace years of mementos. In order to help out these families begin to put their lives back together Sarah Gladman has started a scrapbooking project - called 'Memory Gifts'
Quite simply, she asks each and every one of you who read this to donate a 12 x 12inch almost completed scrapbook layout to the “Memory Gifts” program. Each page will be sent to Sarah and she will collect them and bind them, then hand them over to the head of Pastoral Care for the Victorian Catholic Education Office, Maria Kirkwood in Melbourne. It will not be just Catholic families benefiting, it will be anyone who needs it. The albums will then be distributed to the principals of the 4 schools that burned down, who will know exactly who to give them to.Each family devastated by fire will be (in time) given album pages to help them begin their memories again. Those families can then approach their own families for copies of photos to put into the albums, or simply start putting in fresh memories.Anyone can be involved in this project, so tell your friends and let’s get as many pages done as we can.You can check out Sarah’s Blog for more details, including LSS that are acting as drop-of points. Many thanks on the behalf of the Victorian families who have lost everything.
